SWCC students may download Microsoft 365

Update May 2026: Microsoft recently changed their licensing rules. Currently, only the web-browser based cloud version of Office 365 (https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps) is available to students for free. If you are taking a class that requires you to have Office downloaded and installed on your computer, please contact the This email address is being protected from spambots. Microsoft offers Office 365 for free to Southwestern Community College students.

To get started, visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/download-office and then choose Windows or Mac.

Once the program is installed, sign-in with the same user name and password you use for your SWCC webmail account.

(Chromebook users will not be able to download Office 365, however they can use the cloud based version of the apps by visiting https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps and signing in with your SWCC webmail account.  Then you can click which app you want to use).
