2019 Operation PIF crew with inspirational message signs

Southwestern Community College’s annual Pay it Forward (PIF) Week is coming up April 19-25, 2020! Each year in April, during PIF Week, SWCC students, faculty, and staff get involved by encouraging positive behaviors and service in their communities. We don’t want this year to be any different! Anyone reading this can get involved!

See what PIF Week is all about!

Even though we can’t be together during this year’s PIF Week, there are so many great things you can be doing to help your family, your friends, your co-workers, and your communities! The ripple effect of these activities is exactly what we ALL need right now. Please use the list below as a starting place. As you complete PIF activities throughout the week, we want to hear about them. Please share the activities on social media and tag SWCC or use the hashtags #SWCCpif and #WereInThisTogether.

Take your pick! Potential PIF activities include:

  • Send a message to a family member or a friend.
  • Head outside with a trash bag! It means fresh air for you and a cleaner environment for everyone else.
  • Write letters to residents at a local nursing home.
  • The drive through is still open! Pay it Forward at a local restaurant and honk and wave as you leave.
  • Spread cheer by decorating the windows of your house or apartment.
  • Head outside with the sidewalk chalk. Messages of inspiration help cheer others!
  • Give blood in your community.
  • Support your local healthcare workers.
  • Send a message to a teacher who inspired you along the way.
  • Get your hands dirty! Offer to do yard work for a friend, neighbor, or family member.
