The agricultural department at Southwestern Community College is hosting the SWCC Ag Showcase, an opportunity for high school students to tour the ag facilities and learn about SWCC's ag programs, the week of May 10-14, 2021.

High schools are invited to bring groups of students with an interest in agriculture to this event. When registering, they may select the day they would like to visit and choose from the following times: 9:30-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-2:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided by the SWCC admissions department. 

During the SWCC Ag Showcase, college students and instructors will showcase the ag programs, show visitors the new facilities, and demonstrate the equipment used by the program. Hands-on activities will include:

  • Operate the sprayer simulator
  • Experience the livestock breeding simulators
  • Hear from a farm manager/instructor
  • Program discussion
  • Drive the gator sprayer
  • Drone demonstration
