RN students making donation at Greater Regional

On Monday, April 26, 2021, Southwestern Community College's 2021 registered nursing (RN) class donated 123 items, as well as a cash match for each item donated, to the Greater Regional Health birthing center.

This effort was a project for the RN class that began during Southwestern's annual Pay it Forward (PIF) Week. Throughout the week, the students and instructors collected new baby items. Dr. Heather McLain, SWCC nursing instructor, agreed to match $1 for every donated item. The items will be used for goody bags for teen or single mothers who may not be financially stable.
