Southwestern Community College (SWCC) has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that SWCC will use the applicable amount of funds designated by the Supplemental Support under the American Rescue Plan (SSARP) program which provides Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

SWCC received $219,506 under the SSARP program. Under Absolute Priority 4, SWCC is required to prioritize 50 percent, or $109,753 for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

As of September 30, 2022, SWCC has not yet released any emergency financial aid grants to students under SSARP.

SWCC will soon be identifying the students that are eligible to receive emergency financial aid grants under the SSARP program.

SWCC will award emergency financial aid grants to students under the SSARP program shortly after eligible students are identified.

SWCC has not yet determined a method to be used to identify which students will receive emergency financial aid grants to students or how much they will receive under SSARP.

Any instructions, directions, and guidance provided by SWCC to students concerning the release of emergency financial aid grants will be reported in future quarterly reporting posts.
