Southwestern Community College (SWCC), the Union County Planning Coalition, and Union County Emergency Management are participating in a disaster drill on Tuesday, June 20, beginning at 2 p.m., on SWCC’s Creston campus. Please do NOT be alarmed. This is only a drill.
The scenario, a simulated anhydrous ammonia leak, will take place at the SWCC Ag Site, located approximately a quarter of a mile north of campus on Green Valley Road. Emergency vehicles and personnel will be present during this drill. These types of activities assist in making sure all parties are ready when an actual disaster strikes.
