Southwestern Community College (SWCC) announced recently the college will be offering coworking, labeled STOA Coworking @SWCC, at the college’s Osceola and Red Oak Centers.

Coworking is an arrangement in which workers for various companies share office space. A STOA, in ancient Greek architecture, is a covered walkway or portico, commonly used by the public. STOA Coworking @SWCC will provide a collaborative workspace for remote workers, freelancers, startups, traveling sales reps, etc.

A STOA Coworking membership at SWCC includes the following amenities: work station; shredding services; video conferencing capabilities; on-site notary services; mail and package delivery; use of a professional business address; conference room access; kitchenette access; CCTV security; internet connection; front desk services; and building access, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The cost for coworking at the SWCC centers will be $50 per month or $5 per day.
