Southwestern Community College (SWCC) announced this week the college’s adult & continuing education department will now be marketed as SWCC Business & Community Development.
According to Wayne Pantini, SWCC vice president of economic development, the new name will better reflect the outreach of the division to businesses and communities served within the college’s region.
Areas of operation included under the SWCC Business & Community Development umbrella include adult literacy, continuing education courses, corporate training, customized training, early childhood education/Parents as Teachers program, EMS/health-related services, GAP/Pace tuition assistance, health occupation education, and the Small Business Development Center.
By building partnerships throughout SWCC’s eight-county region, the department collectively provides a wide array of programs, services, and trainings to individuals within businesses and communities for lifelong success.
“SWCC Business & Community Development is committed to providing customized, affordable programs through innovative partnerships, in-turn creating pathways for success,” stated Pantini. “We look forward to continuing to build our programs and services to benefit individuals, businesses, and communities throughout our region.”
