OSCEOLA, IOWA — Representatives from Southwestern Community College (SWCC) were on-hand in early-August, at Osceola Food, LLC, a local manufacturing facility owned by Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE:HRL), to sign four Osceola Food employees for SWCC’s applied engineering technology program.
Osceola Food employees selected for the training include Tereza Abdu, Christian Nevarez, Selvin Garcia-Raymundo, and Marc Ulysse.
Starting this year, SWCC’s applied engineering technology program will be offered at the newly constructed Osceola Regional Business and Industrial Technology (ORBIT) Center in Osceola. This 9,000 square foot training facility was made possible due to a partnership between Clarke County Development Corporation (CCDC) and SWCC.
