The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) board of directors met in special session on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 9 a.m., in the college’s Administration Center.
During the meeting, the board approved the hiring of Mike Creason of Maryville, Missouri, as head baseball coach.
Creason was an assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator for Northwest Missouri State University for 22 years. This past year, following the retirement of Head Coach Darin Loe, Creason shifted to volunteer assistant for the Northwest softball program. He also worked in the maintenance department.
Creason earned an Associate of Arts degree from Victor Valley Community College in Victorsville, California; a bachelor’s degree in corporate recreation from Northwest; and a master’s degree in recreation administration from Northwest.
