Creston, IA--The Creston Kiwanis Club honored four Creston High School students who have been selected to receive the club's 2015-16 scholarships at their regular meeting on Tues., May 5, 2015, at The Windrow restaurant in Creston.
The club donates $500 scholarships annually to students, with preference given to dependents or relatives of Kiwanis members. Recipients for the 2015-16 scholarships included Megan Banda, Olivia Curtis, and Raegan Smith. Haylee LaMasters was the recipient of the Mickey Finn Education Scholarship. The late-Mickey Finn was a long-time Kiwanis member and well-known Creston business owner. His wife, Karon, was in attendance to present the scholarship.
