Carpentry instructor and students with pre-schoolers

The Osceola high school carpentry classes talked with preschool classes at The Village in Osceola about construction on Thurs., March 5, 2015.

The preschoolers have been learning about construction so Instructor Charlie Mundy and the high school students talked about safety, materials (trees, rocks, etc.), tools, and the process of building something.  The preschoolers will also get to tour the house being constructed by the high school carpentry students this year.

According to Mundy, these small projects and interaction with very young children give his students opportunities to teach and grasp the value of what they are doing in the community as well as in the classroom.
