Thanks to everyone who participated in SWCC's 2015 Pay it Forward (PIF) Week! Here are a portion of the great activities that happened all week long:
- During Thursday's Meals from the Heartland event 65,232 meals were packaged by more than 350 volunteers.
- Approximately 58 people participated in Wednesday's Red Cross Blood Drive with 51 units collected, exceeding the blood drive goal by 12 units.
- The Crew, SWCC's electrical technology club, cleaned the yards of two elderly individuals in Creston on Thursday.
- Cemetery clean-ups took place on Wednesday.
- The FREE theatre performance of the Drama Club's Gas Light was a packed house!
- Afternoon on the Farm brought 150 parents, teachers, and children to the ag site.
- The ag department planted 17 trees and cleaned McKinley Lake.
- The social psychology class headed to Afton to read to East Union Elementary first graders.
- Almost 30 people came to the Community CPR/AED Event on Monday.
- A number of super heroes showed up to give their all during Monday's Superhero 5k Walk/Run.
- The Psychology Club passed out mental health awareness materials at the All-Campus Cookout on Monday.
- Students demonstrated a ton of knowledge during Wednesday's Poster Day event.
- And guess what ... there's still time to PIF
- The Phi Theta Kappa food drive was extended through today so head to the grocery store if you haven't already donated!
- The campus clean-up followed by the ice cream sundae bar were moved to this Friday, starting at 1:30 p.m. due to the weather.
