CRESTON, IA— Five Southwestern Community College (SWCC) students placed at the Business Professionals of America (BPA)--Iowa Association, Spring Leadership Conference, February 22-24, 2015, in Des Moines.  These students earned the right to compete at the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA, from May 6-10, 2015.

The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.  BPA has 43,000 members in more than 2300 chapters in 23 states.  BPA is a co-curricular organization that supports business and information technology educators by offering co-curricular exercises based on nation standards.  Regional, state and national conferences are held to aid students in the development of career and leadership skills.  The organization’s competitive events allow students to succeed and assess real-world business skills and problem solving abilities in finance, management, IT, and computer applications.
