SWCC Drama Club presents Neil Simon's 'Rumors'

Southwestern's Drama Club will be performing Neil Simon's "Rumors" at 7 p.m. March 28-30 in the SWCC Performing Arts Center.

The production marks the fifth anniversary of the Drama Club presenting "Rumors" as its first production. Jennie Stamper, one of the original cast members, will be reprising the role of Claire in this year's performance.

This year's performances will be black boxed seating, with only 50 seats available each night, creating a more intimate atmosphere for attendees. "Rumors" is a hilarious farce that is sure to keep everyone laughing. The play takes place at Sneden's Landing townhouse, where the deputy mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of farce as they attempt to figure out what happened to their friend. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into hilarity.
