Community colleges had their Day at the Capitol yesterday, March 5, in Des Moines. Each of Iowa’s 15 community colleges was in attendance to share information about the work of community colleges throughout the state.
During the event, each community college highlighted a career and technical education program in its display. The colleges coordinated their efforts so a variety of programs were represented. Southwestern Community College’s featured program was industrial technology. Instructor Henry Lemke, President Dr. Barb Crittenden, Vice President of Instruction Bill Taylor, and Board Member Jerry Smith were in attendance representing SWCC.
