Tutoring is free to all Southwestern students through the TRIO-Student Support Services (SSS) program, located in the upstairs of the Instructional Center. If you need assistance, now is the time to reach out!
Tutoring is available for many courses on the Creston campus and by Skype at the Osceola and Red Oak Centers. It is offered on a by-appointment or drop-in basis. Peer tutors provide the tutoring services and are available at a range of times. There is even a nursing study group meeting each Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., led by two nursing tutors.
For the current hours tutors are available, please see the 2023-24 Tutoring Schedule.
Peer tutors are fellow college students who have been successful (grades of A or B) in a course and want to share their knowledge with others. They have either taken or are currently taking the classes for which they are tutoring and have been trained in techniques to help others better understand the course content. Tutors are paid through the Federal Work Study program.
