During 2024, the Iowa Automobile Dealers Association (IADA) Foundation for Education awarded Southwestern Community College’s (SWCC’s) automotive programs a $4,761 grant to provide funds for equipment, tools, and program development.
The automotive instructors at SWCC utilized the funds to purchase two Miller welder outfits—including helmets, gear, and equipment. This equipment is being utilized by students in the auto collision repair/refinish and automotive repair technology programs.
