Students in Ellie Soosloff's MAT 156 statistics course at Creston High School presented their first Student-Led Research Showcase on Friday, May 1, 2026, in the Creston High School gymnasium.
Throughout the semester, students selected topics of interest, collected data, conducted statistical analyses, and presented conclusions supported by their findings. The showcase, similar to SWCC’s Expo Day, was inspired by Soosloff’s participation in a professional development course through Iowa State University. Students designed their own research posters, which were printed by Creston High School’s media class.
