Sparty holding sign that says, Today is the Day!, Hope Walks Here, April 23, 2026, Campus Walk to #STOPSUICIDE

WE ARE STILL WALKING TONIGHT!

Tonight’s AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk at Southwestern Community College is being moved inside the Student Center gymnasium due to the spotty showers and storms predicted for the area. Please bring clean walking shoes, as a portion of the walking path will be on the gym floor.

The caricature artist will open at 3 p.m. upstairs in the Student Center, moving to the gym at 5 p.m. He will be drawing sketches until 7 p.m.

Other table activities, opening at 5:30 p.m., will include:

  • AFSP honor beads
  • Make and take bracelets
  • Temporary tattoos (AFSP and SWCC Spartans)
  • Wall of Hope & Remembrance
  • Refreshments & drinks
  • Greater Regional Health psychiatry department
  • Caricatures
  • Registration and T-shirts (for participants who have raised $100 or more)

To register, please visit Southwestern Community College Campus Walk.

If you have any questions, please contact Terri Higgins, event organizer.
