New scholarships are awarded to students each year due to the iGive2SWCC campaign. iGive2SWCC scholarships are awarded during spring semester.
Please consider investing in Southwestern Community College’s students by participating in this effort!
Scholarships are of vital importance to many SWCC students. Each year, the Education Foundation receives more applications for scholarship than it can fund. By participating in the iGive2SWCC campaign you will be providing assistance to individuals who are working to improve their lives by earning their college educations.
Approximately 90 percent of SWCC’s graduates stay in Iowa with more than 60 percent of them staying in southwest Iowa. A gift to the annual scholarship fund is an investment in the lives of many of our communities’ future leaders.
I’m honored to have served as a SWCC Education Foundation board member since 1990. As a former community college scholarship recipient, I know first-hand how important scholarships are to students. They make education attainable for students who may not otherwise pursue college degrees. And that is why iGive2SWCC!
Allen Pohren, SWCC Education Foundation Board President
