Southwestern Community College (SWCC) has signed and returned the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act certification and agreement form and intends to use the funds to provide the mandated amount of at least 50 percent of the emergency financial aid grants to students.

Community Awareness Day is held each year at SWCC to help educate SWCC students and employees about services provided by community agencies and businesses. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people from these agencies will not physically come to campus this year, but have provided the following information for SWCC students and employees. Please feel free to make contact with them for additional information.

The criminal justice department is hosting two state troopers from the Kansas Highway Patrol on the Creston campus on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The state troopers will be in the Student Center to visit with students and educate them about a career with the state patrol from noon to 1 p.m. They will be guest speakers in the criminal justice courses during the morning hours.
