April 30, 2024, CRESTON, Iowa—During a ceremony held at Southwestern Community College (SWCC) on Friday, April 26, 2024, Southwestern Community College (SWCC) auto collision repair/refinish student Koby Namanny of Cumberland was honored as the 2024 SWCC Tech Achiever, and awarded a 41” toolbox with roller cabinet and fully stocked with tools, tickets to the Museum of American Speed, congratulatory banner, and Speedway Motors promo items.
SWCC Education Foundation hosts 2023 Donor-Scholar Dinner

The 2023 Southwestern Community College Education Foundation Donor-Scholar Dinner was held on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m., in the SWCC Student Center gymnasium, to celebrate the generous scholarship donors, as well as the 2023-24 scholarship recipients.
Proceeds from Junction Town Showdown to benefit SWCC students

Planning is underway for the Junction Town Showdown, a truck show and tractor pull, scheduled for June 30-July 2, 2023, at the Clarke County Fairgrounds in Osceola. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Southwestern Community College's Education Foundation for the purpose of funding career and technical education scholarships for students.
Magneson family donates toolboxes to 2023 collision repair/refinish grads

In honor of Merlin & Ann Magneson, a fund has been established through the SWCC Education Foundation to donate toolboxes to SWCC auto collision repair/refinish graduates. During the first year of the program, the Magneson family generously provided toolboxes to five 2023 grads.
