The student accounts specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of Southwestern Community College’s student accounts and billing functions. This position requires accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of tuition, fees, payments, and refunds. The student accounts specialist is a key contributor to the institution’s financial health and student experience by ensuring accounts are accurate, payments are processed promptly, delinquent accounts are monitored, and students get the support they need when student account questions arise.

Responsibilities include providing assistance to the director of residential life with enforcing the regulations of on-campus housing. Will also be asked to assist with check-in and check-out procedures, supervise student resident assistants, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the director of residential life and the dean of student services.

Responsible for the development and delivery of short-term career preparatory and continuing education courses in the area of health occupations, allied health, and other health-related programs. Responsible for ensuring all programs align with current state and federal guidelines and regulations. May assist with the American Heart Association training programs. The coordinator is expected to provide the day-to-day leadership of instructors which will ultimately produce quality programs in Merged Area XIV and beyond.
