Congratulations to the 2020 SWCC Week TikTok Challenge winners! Originally, we were going to select two winners, but because the competition was so fierce, and so plentiful, we selected four. And to all of the participants, your videos were amazing … and hilarious … and full of school spirit! It was wonderful to have so many to choose from!

During 2020, Southwestern Community College’s criminal justice program partnered with the Union County attorney’s office to create a unique internship opportunity for the college’s criminal justice students. The collaboration began following a discussion between Diogenes Ayala, Southwestern criminal justice instructor, and Tim Kenyon, Union County attorney.

It's SWCC Week 2020! SWCC has a number of face-to-face and virtual activities set up for students throughout the week. And be sure to pay attention to the Spirit Week days so you'll know what to wear.

Creston— The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) board of directors met Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at 5:30 p.m., in the Agricultural Sciences Center on the Creston campus.
Following the approval of consent agenda items, including the tentative agenda, payables, and depository resolution, the board recessed to hold an exempt collective bargaining strategy session.

Southwestern Community College administrators announced to students, faculty, and staff on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, the college will be modifying the spring 2021 semester calendar eliminating Spring Break due to continued proactive mitigation strategies related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Southwestern Community College (SWCC) has signed and returned the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act certification and agreement form and intends to use the funds to provide the mandated amount of at least 50 percent of the emergency financial aid grants to students.
