A record 70 contestants participated in SWCC’s 11th Annual Indoor Disc Golf Tournament, hosted by SWCC Disc Golf Club, and held at the SWCC Coliseum on Jan. 22, 2026.

Southwestern’s annual Transfer Day will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., in the Instructional Center, room 180. During Transfer Day, SWCC students and advisors have opportunities to talk with transfer representatives from many four-year colleges and universities.

The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), Beta Eta Nu, was recently announced as a 5-star PTK chapter for the 2025-26 academic year.

During the Southwestern Community College (SWCC) all-staff in-service, on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, 18 SWCC employees were honored for a combined 355 years of service to the college. Two of the honored employees, Ann Coulter and Kysa Gordon, combine for 85 years of service themselves!

Southwestern is hosting an Out of the Darkness Walk, in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, on April 23, 2026, at 6 p.m., during SWCC's Pay it Forward (PIF) Week.
