Four Southwestern Community College Student Senate members attended the Student Legislative Seminar, hosted by Community Colleges for Iowa (CCforIowa), at Curate in Des Moines on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

PUZZLES, WINGS, and WATER Contest Sponsored by Student Activities Thursday, March 5, 2026 5:30 p.m. - Student Center 2-Person Teams (20 team max) Sign up outside Tracey Evans' office Upper level Student Center Puzzles, wings, and water will be provided. The first to complete puzzle, finish wings, and 1 gallon of water in the 2-hour time limit wins! 1st Place - $100 2nd Place - $50 3rd Place - $40 (Wings provided by Mario's Sports Bar)

Summer 2026 class schedule is posted

Summer can be hectic, but it's a great time to get ahead on college courses!

The summer 2026 class schedule is now available on SWCC’s website. Summer registration for career & technical education students begins on Monday, Feb. 23. Summer registration for arts & sciences students begins on Thursday, Feb. 26.

A record 70 contestants participated in SWCC’s 11th Annual Indoor Disc Golf Tournament, hosted by SWCC Disc Golf Club, and held at the SWCC Coliseum on Jan. 22, 2026.

Four-year colleges on campus for Transfer Day on Feb. 25

Southwestern’s annual Transfer Day will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., in the Instructional Center, room 180. During Transfer Day, SWCC students and advisors have opportunities to talk with transfer representatives from many four-year colleges and universities.
