Creston, IA—Tom Lesan, Southwestern Community College (SWCC) vice president of economic development, was honored at the college’s all-staff in-service, held on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, for achieving 35 years of service to the institution.

The Writing Center has announced its hours for spring semester:
Tuesday – 2:30-4:30 p.m., English Instructor Stephen Jefferies
Wednesday – 1-3 p.m., English Instructor Kelly Franklin

Creston— The Southwestern Community College board of trustees met on Tues., January 10, 2017, at 8 a.m. in the president’s office in the Administration Center for their regular monthly board meeting.
During the meeting, the board approved the early retirement request of Jason Smith, SWCC professional music instructor, at the end of his current contract. Smith has been a music instructor at the college since August 1992.

Registration is open for the Health Careers Employment and Education Fair at Southwestern Community College on Thursday, April 20, 2017. The fair will be held from noon–2:30 pm, in the Instructional Center, room 180.
