Six Southwestern Community College (SWCC) business and information technology students competed during the 2025 Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Student Leadership Conference, held during May in Orlando, and brought home various placings including two second place national finishes.

The 2025 Southwestern Community College (SWCC) commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, in the Student Center gymnasium on the Creston campus.
The ceremonies will be held at the following times:
- 4 p.m. - Licensed Practical Nursing Commencement and Lamplighting Recognition and Associate Degree Nursing Commencement and Pinning Ceremony
- 7 p.m. - Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Arts and Sciences (college transfer) Commencement Ceremony
