During the 2026 Southwestern Community College (SWCC)/Union County Development Association (UCDA) Meals from the Heartland event, held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in the SWCC Student Center gymnasium, approximately 81,000 meals were packaged to feed individuals locally and around the world. Thank you to everyone who participated!

WE ARE STILL WALKING TONIGHT!
Tonight’s AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk at Southwestern Community College is being moved inside the Student Center gymnasium due to the spotty showers and storms predicted for the area. Please bring clean walking shoes, as a portion of the walking path will be on the gym floor.

Southwestern Community College (SWCC) career and technical education students came home from the Iowa SkillsUSA Championships held in Des Moines at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, on March 6, 2026, with five students earning gold medal finishes and earning rights to compete at National SkillsUSA competition early this summer.
